It is imperative for school districts to develop and implement a Disability Playbook that would provide effective strategies to accommodate qualified educators with MS, thereby alleviating their fears. Moreover, school districts need to have a Disability Playbook in place to outline the services educators with MS need to be successful in fulfilling their job duties. The Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 protect qualified individuals and grant them the protection from being discriminated against. A recent study shows that educators are among the hardest hit by autoimmune diseases, such as, MS. It was found that, “stress, environmental conditions, fungus, mold, or pesticides as factors” that affect educators with autoimmune diseases. (Education World, 2016)
